Italy : The last round cancelled

Italy

This weekend was supposed to be the last round of the Italian Motocross Championship in Citta di Castello. Kiara Fontanesi, already a title holder, did not make the trip to concentrate on her next objective, the sand race taking place in Italy on the FIM World Sand Cup programme. With the heavy rain, the organiser and promoter were forced to cancel the event, as the rescuers did not want to intervene in these conditions.

Kiara Fontanesi has won the Italian championship title. Behind her, a battle was to take place this weekend for second place. With the cancellation, it is finally Danee Gelissen who finishes in this position. Giorgia Montini completes the final podium. Clarissa Tognaccini is fourth in the championship ahead of Gaia Franchi. Absent for one round, Emanuela Talucci is sixth ahead of Priska Busatto. Giorgia Giudici is eighth with a good end to the season. Chantal Pavoni is ninth. Francesca Mercante completes the Top 10.

Cecilia Polato wins the 2T category after her victory in the penultimate round. She is ahead of Alessia Di Luccia who is having a very good season. Asia Corsini completes the final podium.
