The second round of the 2025 Portuguese Enduro Championship took place this weekend in Santa Marta de Penaguião.
Mariana Afonso dominated Round 2. The KTM rider took the lead on Day 1, setting a strong pace and maintaining her advantage through Day 2. Despite increasing pressure from her rivals, Afonso managed to hold onto her lead, ultimately claiming victory with a seven-second margin. Arriving as the championship leader, Nieve Holmes faced an early setback on Day 1 after receiving a one-minute penalty, which placed her 36 seconds behind Afonso. Determined to fight back, the Sherco rider delivered the fastest time on Day 2, closing the gap but falling just seven seconds short of victory. Holmes had to settle for second place. Rounding out the podium, Francisca Duarte Henriques secured third place despite a more challenging second day.
